Fashion Photographer | Creative Director

Born in Brazil, Higor Bastos has worked in fashion from the age of 16 when he was discovered as a model in the countryside. Everything he knows he has learnt from keen observation behind the scenes and most importantly, assisting important players in the industry. During the past 8 years he has worked as a fashion photographer, building his own brand as a creative voice with a sense of clarity and direction.

Higor`s work has been featured in VOGUE, GQ, ROLLING STONE, ELLE, GLAMOUR, MARIE CLAIRE, HARPER`S BAZAAR and L`OFFICIEL. His extensive list of clients includes Carolina Herrera, Giorgio Armani, Dolce e Gabbana, Levi`s, Fila, Gas Jeans and La Martina.

Higor aims to influence the community through his art and is currently working towards becoming an accomplished film director.

Higor is involved with the Lalela Project, an award-winning non-profit organization providing educational arts and awakening the entrepreneurial spirit of over 5000 underprivileged children in the townships of Cape Town and Johannesburg.

`For those aspiring to be a fashion photographer, my main advice is to believe in your ideas. Photography for me is not about technique... it`s about feelings, it`s art. Be confident in what you are creating and be patient. A career can`t be built overnight`
